WATERLOO, ONTARIO — (Marketwire) — 04/26/12 — TurboSonic Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: TSTA), a global provider of clean air technologies, today announced receipt of a $2.7 million order for the supply of its SonicKleen wet electrostatic precipitator (WESP) technology to control emissions from a waste to energy facility. The equipment is scheduled for delivery at the end of this calendar year.
The SonicKleen WESP will reduce particulate matter from a synthetic gas stream, which will be generated by an oxygen-assisted plasma gasifier. The advanced gasification energy from waste process will convert residential and commercial waste diverted from landfill into renewable power.
Edward Spink, TurboSonic CEO, said, “This is the second order for TurboSonic–s SonicKleen WESP technology from this customer. We believe that the many patented advanced features of the SonicKleen WESP and our extensive design and application experience will be significant factors in our future success. Given the current emphasis on energy efficiency, waste-to-energy, and alternate fuel sources, this is a significant step in TurboSonic–s penetration of this market.”
