LOUISVILLE, KY — (Marketwire) — 05/17/12 — American Air Filter Co., Inc. d/b/a AAF International, announced today it will be closing its 340,000 square foot Hutchins, TX plant. The closing is scheduled to be complete by the end of September 2012 and will result in the elimination of a majority of the jobs in the Hutchins plant. AAF customers purchasing from the Hutchins plant will be supplied from other AAF plants and distribution centers. AAF–s Hutchins plant currently has 100 hourly and salaried employees, and produces panel and pleated filters for a wide variety of end users. This restructuring will allow AAF to more effectively serve its entire customer base in North America with a more responsive manufacturing and distribution footprint.
