QUEEN CREEK, AZ — (Marketwire) — 06/27/12 — WindPower Innovations, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: WPNV) announced today it has appointed Thomas P. Meola as its Acting Chief Financial Officer effective immediately.
Mr. Meola, who is a certified public accountant as well as a seasoned financial executive with public company compliance experience, has been hired by the Board to bring seasoned experience to the Company and to enhance the quality and transparency of the Company–s financial Reporting.

Mr. Meola is a certified public accountant and seasoned financial executive. Currently (since 2011) in addition to serving as the Chief Financial Officer of WindPower Innovations he is the managing member and certifying accountant for Tailor Made Business Solutions, PLLC. From 2006 to 2010 Mr. Meola was Vice President of Business Operations for Paul Allen–s venture fund, Vulcan Inc. At MasterCard International, Inc. where he served as Senior Vice President of Global Financial Systems and Purchasing from 2000 to 2004 he was involved in meeting that company–s Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and oversaw the due diligence team for the acquisition by MasterCard of the largest European credit card processor. Prior to his employment at MasterCard Mr. Meola held various finance and accounting positions with Bowen & Company from 1987 to 2000. Mr. Meola has a Bachelor of Science for accounting from Rutgers University among other academic achievements.
