HOUSTON, TX — (Marketwire) — 08/30/12 — Global Clean Energy, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: GCEI) began work six years ago to develop and commercialize proprietary technologies to recover and reform environmental salvage into clean useable energy or R.E.S.C.U.E. As global reserves diminish, biodiesel and other synthetic fuels are now regarded as realistic alternatives to oil.
GCEI is focusing on projects for industrial and municipal facilities that have low-cost fuel supplies and on-site gas, electricity and/or process heat needs. These facilities typically prefer to purchase their energy (and where necessary, waste disposal services) from third parties. We intend to be a leading supplier of mid-size, on-site gasification facilities by providing the best suited technology at competitive prices. We target creditworthy public and private sector clients across a broad range of industries and geographic regions in order to diversify and reduce market risks.
The company is saddened to announce the passing of its Chief Scientific Officer, Mr. Philip Azimov. Philip spent the last five years of his life working diligently with GCEI and was the lead team inventor of the GCEI gasifier and Vortex Pump. Philip was an integral part of the team and laid the framework for a solid scientific group which is presently headed by Louis-Philip Senecal, co-inventor of the Gasifier.
GCEI has created of two proprietary patents: The AIRPUMP system utilizing Vortex technology to efficiently separate and recover carbon from other wastes inherent in the material, and The Hybrid Steam Gasification system, which is now being tested to efficiently reform various organic feedstock, unlike any other system known in the renewable energy world.
The advantages of the AirPump are multiple. Running on compressed air, water, or inert-gases, there are no electrical components allowing the pump to operate safely in hazardous environments, such as underwater or in mineshafts. As compared to standard dredging devices, there are no impediments to the flow of material through the pump, nor are there any components which can wear out, or be damaged by abrasive materials.
Since 2009, GCEI has been working with the city of Salaberry de Valleyfield, Quebec to develop its waste to energy solution by way of its hybrid gasification system. The project is being supported by the Canadian federal government through the Green Municipal Fund of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. In the next few days we will update in a separate news release the success which the company has achieved in this project.
