Alongside the launch of the energy storage system to the Asian market
WINAICO, a division of Taiwan´s biggest module manufacturer Win Win Precision Technology Co., Ltd., will participate at this year’s PV Taiwan. The show takes place from October 30 to November 1 2013 in Hall 1 of the Taipei World Trade Center.
After the successful introduction in the European market, WINAICO will unveil its state-of-the-art energy storage system in Taiwan. At the heart of the WINAICO EnergyStorage system is a high-tech battery cell based on the Kolibri solid state technology. It is characterised by its ability to store high volumes of energy securely. Thanks to the unique cells and the innovative adjustment of all components an overall battery efficiency of up to 97 % was reached.
“Finally it is possible to store the sun’s energy for use when it is really needed. We think that storage systems are inevitable in the future solar market and are happy that we can provide this highly efficient solution to our customers. As neither dangerous nor toxic components are used, the system is very eco-friendly. It can be completely recycled at the end of service life”, says Davis Chen, Chairman & CEO of Win Win Precision Technology Co., Ltd.
Another highlight on the booth will be WINAICO’s high efficiency monocrystalline series with 290W produced with PERC cells. PERC (Passivated Emitter and Rear Contacts) solar cells are fast becoming one of the mainstream technologies in the field of solar cells. Together with the Industrial Technology Research Institute in Taiwan, Win Win Precision Technology found out that at low irradiance or weak light conditions, PERC solar modules perform better than its traditional counterpart (Al-BSF solar cells) by having higher energy output efficiency. Furthermore they found out that PERC module’s energy performance under low light condition was affected by both sun’s elevation angle and weather condition. More information and details on that study can be obtained from WINAICO at booth no. A0702. The WINAICO team is looking forward to welcoming the visitors.
