SCOTTSDALE, AZ — (Marketwired) — 10/23/13 — Centrosolar America today announced that it will continue to operate independently in US solar markets, building upon its strong, self-funded performance over the past 2-1/2 years. The company–s national customer network at present has grown to include more than 600 installers in 43 states, representing coverage in 83% of the US market.
“The news out of Germany has no impact on Centrosolar America,” noted Centrosolar America–s Managing Director, Ram Akella. “Since July 2011, Centrosolar America has operated independently, fully funding our own operations. Our sales continue to grow and our financial performance is strong, confirming the value to our customers of our fully integrated PV systems, services and logistics support.”
Centrosolar America maintains multiple distribution centers across the country. More than 50MW of solar capacity has been shipped in the last 2-1/2 years with installations on more than 5,000 homes and on high-profile commercial projects across the country. Centrosolar America is on the approved vendor lists of multiple residential leasing and lending firms and has also supplied products for commercial projects owned by independent power producers (IPPs) funded by bulge bracket institutions.
Akella added that the company will continue to distribute all components inherent in a solar photovoltaic system — from modules, inverters, and racking solutions to BOS components. Centrosolar America–s PV module offerings include price-competitive products manufactured primarily in Asia as well as modules made in the United States. All modules are manufactured to Centrosolar America–s specifications against strict quality requirements and carry their brand and independent warranty, which are further backed by Tier 1 module manufacturer warranties.
Centrosolar America is currently a “Top Tier” distributor for most of its suppliers. In 2013, Unirac named Centrosolar America as one of only five Elite Partners. The company has also been selected by SMA to participate in its exclusive Authorized Dealer program for the residential and commercial segments.
“The independent foundation that we have built for Centrosolar America bodes extremely well for the future,” added Akella. “From our expanding customer base across the country to our outstanding relationships with our suppliers and our independent capital structure — all systems are full steam ahead. It is an exciting time for Centrosolar America and the US solar market.”
