Sauer Energy to Standardize Rating System

CAMARILLO, CA — (Marketwired) — 10/29/13 — Sauer Energy Inc.® (“SEI”) (OTCQB: SENY), developer of the patented WindCharger® vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) and manufacturer of the patented HelixWind® vertical axis wind turbine announces that it is seeking to standardize the rating system for small wind within the industry.

Arbitrary wind speed ratings by different vendors and even different wind speed ratings within the same vendor tend to confuse consumers. SEI has determined calculations based on 30 mph as a reasonable rating wind speed benchmark.

SEI has realized the need for uniformity is key for small wind to legitimize itself and take its place alongside the rest of the wind community. True marketshare depends on the manufacturer–s ability to offer the end user a means for consistency in recognizing the best possible choice for their needs. The concept of standardization has been well received.

Devotion to polishing multiple testing technologies to match requirements of global clients enables the versatility of a streamlined methodology. The SEI team has applied various other testing applications for on-site developments by using practical standards. Quality assurance processes provide testing methods that create precise procedures that aim to place SEI products among the best in class.

Various other test data is important, such as yearly projections at realistic wind speeds or ratings of generators, inverters or other equipment. These can provide end users with wide ranging solutions that will confirm performance of the turbines at various wind speeds with various configurations of optional storage management systems and solar arrays for on-grid or off-grid applications.

“Since the industry is still in its infancy, it has become exceedingly obvious that no clear cut rules apply and that there exists a need for a guideline for power rating based on the same wind speed so that consumers can make direct comparisons of specifications and pricing to facilitate their decision making process. SEI will likely set precedents regarding an industry-specific criterion for testing and design and to track and maintain performance of the various wind turbine configurations planned for release,” commented Dieter Sauer, CEO and President of Sauer Energy, Inc.

Sauer Energy Inc. is a technology developer and manufacturer focused on the emerging renewable energy market. We believe that because it requires few parts, SEI–s technology, which provides a new direction for wind capture, will easily scale from residential to small community and up to large industrial scale. The market opportunity for a new, innovative technology is unlimited. SEI has created the WindCharger brand model to provide a better solution for the use of wind capture for residential or small building use.

The WindCharger is one of Sauer Energy–s key innovation priorities. With several patents in place and many more pending, SEI is engaged in manufacturing and commercialization now, and plans to see a financial return on its investments.
