MADISON, WI — (Marketwired) — 12/11/13 — announced that it developed an for CleanWorld–s Sacramento BioDigester facility, which was awarded the “” at the Renewable Energy World – Power Engineering Awards Gala in Orlando, Florida.
CleanWorld was first in the field of sixteen applicants representing bioenergy projects from four continents. CleanWorld is getting attention from all over the world for its success in developing, building, and operating proprietary, US-made technologies that produce renewable natural gas and bioelectricity from food and organic waste.
As part of the project, BioCNG assisted with developing the alternative vehicle fuel system that uses about 100 cubic feet per minute of biogas from the food waste to produce about 450 diesel gallon equivalents of CNG fuel per day. Atlas Disposal is using the fuel in waste recycling and other vehicles.
“We are so proud to have played a key part in this award-winning project,” said Matt Davies, President of BioCNG. “To see a US company winning such a prestigious honor really adds to the momentum building for the use of renewable CNG.”
The project also recently received the 2013 Energy Vision Leadership Award, announced by Energy Vision, a national non-profit organization that promotes clean, renewable, petroleum-free transportation fuels.
BioCNG, LLC is the inventor of the patent-pending BioCNG biogas conditioning system, which economically produces biogas-based fuel to power compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles. The innovative system is operating successfully, running several fleets on CNG produced from landfill, wastewater treatment plant, and anaerobic food digester biogas at a fraction of the cost of gasoline.
