Quantum Energy Secures 4th Bakken Site for Energy Centers

TEMPE, AZ — (Marketwired) — 11/24/14 — Quantum Energy, Inc. (OTC PINK: QEGY), announced today that it has signed two separate two year Option Agreements on a combined two hundred sixty five (265) acre site involving multiple landowners in the Berthold, North Dakota area in Ward County, North Dakota for the construction and operation of an Energy Center that will include a 20,000 barrel per day topping plant diesel refinery.

The combined site has been selected near Berthold, ND for Quantum–s latest plans to build a 21st Century Energy Center. Quantum representatives have strategically located the Berthold location to address industry and agriculture needs outside of the Minot area. President Neil Amondson of Quantum says, “Multiple grades of diesel for agriculture and industry are needed in addition to Jet-A fuel to serve nearby airports.” Quantum–s plans include the latest clean technology to capture the CO2 released from their facilities for use in Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) throughout the Bakken. Additionally, each facility will also include a natural gas liquids (NGL) stripping capacity of at least 100,000 barrels per day which will build barrel value, provide the potential for local/regional propane production and provide for significantly reduced crude volatility to facilitate enhanced rail tank car safety. “Meeting the much needed local diesel markets for agriculture and industry is a key Quantum goal as well as providing permanent local area high paying jobs through economic development,” Amondson said.

Following the addition of the Stanley, ND site, the Berthold location expands Quantum–s market share interest to serve the current diesel deficiency in the Bakken. “We are committed to serving the needs of agriculture and industry in the Bakken through our strategic alliance with Bilfinger Westcon,” said Amondson.

Quantum has signed two year Option Agreements in Baker, MT, Fairview, MT, Stanley, ND and now Berthold, ND for Energy Center sites and is making progress in firming up relationships with other strategic alliance partners, refinery design teams, engineering firms, major diesel off-take sources and potential funding sources as well as crude supply candidates as a result of recent meetings in Bismarck, ND, Williston, ND and Oklahoma City.

. is a development stage, publicly traded, diversified holding company with offices in Williston, North Dakota. Quantum places an emphasis in refinery development, land holdings, oil and gas exploration, drilling, well completion and fuel distribution and has recently entered into a Strategic Alliance with Bilfinger Westcon to develop multiple Energy Centers that include a 20,000 barrel per day diesel refinery throughout the Bakken .
