Flex LNG Chairman to Address Modular, Midscale Conference

HOUSTON, TX — (Marketwire) — 08/23/11 — Keith Meyer, chairman of Flex LNG (OBX: FLNG), which was founded to bring LNG production offshore, will address Modular, Mid-Scale LNG conference on Sept. 15, Lafayette, La. The conference features a tour of Chart Industries (NASDAQ: GTLS) cold box assembly plant, a critical module in LNG plant construction.

Flex LNG has executed agreements with InterOil, Pacific LNG, Liquid Niugini Gas Ltd and Samsung Heavy Industries for a mid-scale floating liquefaction project with annual capacity of 2 million tonnes. As envisioned, the facility will liquefy gas from the onshore Elk and Antelope gas fields in the Gulf Province in Papua New Guinea.

“We–re most pleased to have Keith join the program,” said Bob Nimocks, president of Zeus. “Flex is well-recognized name in the emerging field of floating production, liquefaction, storage and offloading.”

Among the other speakers is Stewart W. G. Elliott, chairman, managing director & CEO, Energy World Corporation Ltd (EWC). EWC and Flex LNG are both working in Papua New Guinea on modular, mid-scale plant designs for Queensland-based InterOil Corporation, owner of the Elk and Antelope fields.

Elliott has been asked to discuss Energy World–s Papua New Guinea Gulf Province Project, including unique attributes as well as economic justification and future plans. Meyer has been asked to discuss the benefits and challenges of using modular, mid-scale plants on self-supporting prismatic shape type-B carriers to monetize offshore reserves. Flex LNG has four of its LNG Producer units, self-propelled offshore LNG production vessels, on order from Samsung Heavy Industries in Korea.

The conference hosted by Zeus Development Corporation features presentations on many aspects of preassembling liquefaction plants prior to onsite delivery. Preassembly improves construction quality while reducing footprint, construction cost and lead times.

On Sept. 14-15, leading technologists and manufacturers at the conference will discuss these growing trends. Organizations registered to attend include Apache Corporation, Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., Arup Energy, Black & Veatch, Braemar Wavespec, Chart Industries, Chevron ETC, CH-IV International, Energy World Corporation Limited, ENI, ExxonMobil, Fagioli, Fairbanks Natural Gas, LLC, Flex LNG Limited, Gaztransport & Technigaz, GE Power Systems, IHI Corporation, InterOil Corporation, Linde, Shell, Siemens and UOP.
