BIS Group: Contracts worth EUR 200 million awarded to UK offshore specialists

BIS Salamis will be handling extensive maintenance activities including project management and shutdown coordination for these customers. The services to be provided include scaffolding access, rope access, coating, insulation, specialist cleaning, asbestos work, norm removal and passive fire protection. BIS Salamis operatives will be deployed at the Bacton Gas Terminal, at various platforms located in the Leman, Sole Pit, Barque, Galleon, Ninian, Muchinson and Tiffany fields as well as a number of additional loacations.

The order received from AJS is a follow-up contract with an extended scope for a period of three years, while the order placed by CRN for a period of five years is a new contract with a renewal option of a further two years. “With these new contracts, the BIS Group is continuing to reinforce its market position in fabric maintenance on platforms operating on the UK continental shelf. They testify to the trust which the UK oil and gas industry is placing in the experience and skills of our offshore specialists”, says Dr. Rudolf K. Jürcke, a member of the BIS Group’s Executive Board. In this connection, Mike Main, the managing director of BIS Salamis, which employs more than 2,000 offshore operatives, adds that “the reputation that we have in the market today is the result of our ability to meet the highest possible requirements with respect to the breadth and quality of our integrated services together with our excellent safety standards.
