LAS VEGAS, NV — (Marketwire) — 04/12/12 — Blue Star Opportunities Corp. (The “Company”) (PINKSHEETS: BSTO) announces an agreement with Duro-Design Inc. of Montreal that grants Blue Star exclusive rights to the Duro-Design brand of high quality flooring products in the U.S. market. Blue Star will be creating a network of exclusive factory outlets under the Duro-Design banner in the United States in order to make its quality designer flooring available to the public at factory prices.
Duro-Design has been a leading manufacturer and provider of quality flooring materials from environmentally friendly managed sources. Its line of products for residential, commercial and institutional markets relies on industry-best proprietary staining and pigmentation techniques that are applied to bamboo, cork, tamarindo, and other specialized wood-flooring products, all within LEED certification norms. Duro-Design products have been installed in leading museums, churches, offices, retail stores and thousands of homes, generating close to $20 million in revenues over the past five years.
Blue Star will provide these products in the U.S. through a network of factory outlets based on a model developed by Duro-Design in which consumers can purchase high-end flooring with a value proposition unmatched anywhere.
The Blue Star business model calls for the establishment of some 10 factory outlets in the next six months. These will be located in high-traffic commercial zones and will require very low capital investments to expected revenues ratio. This is part of a first expansion phase that will see some 25 outlets established over 24 months. Orders will be exclusively processed through the Duro-Design product facilities.
