CANMORE, ALBERTA — (Marketwire) — 11/08/12 — Bow Valley Power () today announced it has entered into a new contract for the sale of EcoLogo certified green power with The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, one of the world–s premier hotels, located in Banff National Park.
Under the new agreement, the Chateau will purchase 5,500,000 kilowatt hours per year for five years, or 50% of the hotel–s power requirements, of EcoLogo certified low-impact, renewable green power from Bow Valley Power. The use of green power by the hotel will offset 4,840 tonnes per year of CO2 emissions that would have otherwise been created with conventional power.
