Chrysalix EVC Forms Advisory Board of Renowned Leaders from Electric Power and Mining Sectors

The Chrysalix EVC advisory board will support the firm–s investment strategy, which is focused on cultivating sustainable innovations that address the economic, energy and environmental challenges facing some of the world–s largest industries, including oil and gas, electric power and mining. With these industries now facing major transition, sustainable innovation is moving up the corporate agenda as incumbents recognize the need to invest aggressively to avoid being blindsided by shifting energy policies and new technologies.

Paul de Martini has extensive knowledge of energy services and grid modernization, working previously as a leading strategist for Cisco Systems Connected Energy Networks where he assisted the company with its launch into the smart grid market. Prior to Cisco, Paul led the development and deployment of major smart grid projects as Vice President of Advanced Technology for Southern California Edison (SCE). Paul has also held a variety of executive positions with Sempra Energy, PG&E Corporation, and Engage Energy.

Mark Dudzinski has deep roots in the energy industry with an expansive career working for such companies as GE Energy and ABB in executive positions. At General Electric, Mark was responsible for leading strategy and marketing for the $45 billion Energy business including developments in thermal and renewable power generation, oil and gas exploration, electric transmission and distribution, and industrial controls. Mark currently runs a non-profit organization Light the World Inc., dedicated to bringing cost effective electricity to the 1.2 billion people who live without lighting.

As President of the Canada Mining Innovation Council and former Vice President of Technology and Development at Teck Resources, John Thompson has a unique understanding of the significant pain points facing the mining industry and the tremendous opportunity for step change innovation to solve them. He is also the Wold Professor in Environmental Balance of Human Sustainability at Cornell University, Principal in PetraScience Consulting, and former Chief Geoscientist at Teck Resources.
