Helgeson will assume the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Helgeson has been Covanta–s Vice President and Treasurer since 2007, and previously held senior financial positions at Waste Services, Inc., a publicly-traded environmental services company with operations in the U.S. and Canada, and worked in investment banking with Lehman Brothers and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. He will replace Sanjiv Khattri, who will be actively assisting in the transition.
