TORONTO, ONTARIO — (Marketwire) — 09/27/12 — The 2012 Ontario Electrical Safety Authority Awards recognized CSA Group alumni Doug Geralde as a recipient in the category of Product Safety. The awards were established by the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) to acknowledge the significant contributions made by individuals and organizations to help reduce electrical fatalities, injuries and loss.
Doug Geralde had been an employee with CSA Group for more than 30 years. His expertise and experience revolves around investigations into product failures, root cause analysis, product recalls, and investigations into counterfeit products.
“As we strive to reach the goal of zero fatalities and injuries we are pleased that Doug–s efforts in the area of Product Safety share this common goal with ESA. Mr. Geralde–s product safety work exemplifies what the Ontario Electrical Safety Awards represent and ESA is very proud to recognize his contributions to electrical product safety and the electrical safety culture,” said David Collie, President & CEO, Electrical Safety Authority.
Throughout his career, Mr. Geralde has collaborated with various regulatory authorities in Canada, the U.S., and around the world as an advisor, championing the cause of electrical safety.
