STONEWALL, MANITOBA — (Marketwired) — 05/17/13 — Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC) is pleased to announce that Dr. Karla Guyn has been named National Director Conservation. Guyn assumes the role on July 1, 2013.
“Karla–s genuine passion for the outdoors and her extensive experience in the field of wetland and waterfowl conservation makes her an excellent fit for this key position within our organization,” says DUC chief executive officer, Greg Siekaniec. “Under Karla–s leadership, DUC will continue delivering conservation excellence as we strive to conserve wetlands that are so important to waterfowl, wildlife, people and the environment.”
Guyn has a strong history with DUC, and has gained valuable experience since joining our team in 1998. While working closely with DUC–s board of directors, she will also serve as the senior liaison to the conservation programs delivered by Ducks Unlimited Inc. in the United States and the North American Waterfowl Management Plan.
