HOUSTON, TX — (Marketwire) — 07/31/12 — Enbridge Energy Partners, L.P. (NYSE: EEP) (the “Partnership” or “Enbridge Partners”) today announced coinciding changes to the boards of directors of its general partner, Enbridge Energy Company, Inc. (“EECI”), and its management company, Enbridge Energy Management, L.L.C. (NYSE: EEQ), including the election of a new Director, effective July 30, 2012.
In accordance with our corporate governance guidelines, Martha O. Hesse, an independent director since 2003 and board chair since 2007, retired as chairman on July 30, 2012 and will retire as a director effective August 14, 2012. Jeffrey A. Connelly, an independent director and chairman of the Audit, Finance and Risk Committees, was elected as chairman of the boards. J. Herb England was elected as chairman of the Audit, Finance and Risk Committees.

Effective July 30, Rebecca B. Roberts was elected to the boards of directors of its general partner, Enbridge Energy Company, Inc., and its management company, Enbridge Energy Management, L.L.C., and will serve on the respective Audit, Finance and Risk Committees.

Rebecca B. Roberts most recently served as President of Chevron Pipe Line Company, a pipeline company transporting crude oil, refined petroleum products, liquefied petroleum gas, natural gas and chemicals within the United States, from 2006 to February 2011. In this capacity, she was responsible for transportation of crude oil, petroleum products, chemicals, natural gas and natural gas liquids. Prior to that, she was President of Chevron Global Power Generation from 2003 to 2006.
