STONEWALL, MANITOBA — (Marketwired) — 06/24/13 — Ducks Unlimited Canada (DUC), Canada–s leading wetland conservation organization, is pleased to announce the election of Mr. Mac Dunfield as the organization–s 41st President. Mr. Dunfield assumed this role at DUC–s national Board of Directors meeting yesterday in Halifax, N.S.
“I–m honoured to follow in the footsteps of some great leaders,” said Mr. Dunfield. “Over the next two years, I will strive to strengthen Ducks Unlimited Canada–s reputation as a trusted conservation leader while building on our many conservation partnerships and on-the-ground successes.”
Mr. Dunfield was elected as DUC–s Vice-President in 2011, but his support of the organization dates back to 1974. He has served on the DUC Moncton volunteer chapter for 32 years and continues to play an active role in its annual fundraising dinner. The retired President and Owner of Atlantic Underground Services, Ltd., Mr. Dunfield is a well-known community leader who brings a wealth of experience to his new role with DUC.
