Husum, 07.03.2014. Messe Husum & Congress offers visitors to New Energy Husum a comprehensive congress programme. In addition to the world’s biggest event for small wind turbine experts, German and Danish enterprises from the border region will be swapping ideas and renewable energy experiences at the FURGY Congress. Visitors can also attend free lecture forums and congress events about the different types of renewable energy forms, and how they can be combined and put to practical use.
Lecture forums and congress events for private individuals and trade attendees
The Passive House Visitors’ Forum in the middle of the special exhibition area for ecological building and renovation is once again the meeting place for house builders, architects and trades. In lectures and at the daily Builders Talk, experts will be giving tips about renovating and restoring old properties using passive house components, and about insulating with natural materials. The topics covered at the open visitor’s forum in Hall 2 range from career opportunities in the renewable energy industry to smart grids and storage technology, to the status quo and the future of energy transition in Germany.
At the congress everything is also about technology and the possible uses for renewable energy. EWS GmbH will be explaining how photovoltaic systems can be combined with heat pumps, and explaining the best sales arguments for photovoltaic fitters. Geo-En Energy Technologies GmbH will be presenting efficient solutions for the use of geothermal energy. There will also be information about current projects and approaches such as the Smart Region Pellworm or energy-efficient redevelopment of whole districts.
FURGY facilitates networking between German and Danish enterprises
The FURGY (Future Renewable Energy) Project, run by the Flensburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce, invites businesses and scientists to the FURGY Congress on 21 March. The aim of the project is to create a network of north German and southern Danish businesses and research projects in the border region in order to increase the knowledge transfer in the renewable energy sector. Among the subjects dealt with by the FURGY Congress will be the role and development of energy storage solutions, energy-efficient solutions for industry and business, and best practice examples from Schleswig-Holstein. Interested visitors can register for the FURGY Congress free of charge via the New Energy Husum website.
Summit of the international small wind turbine industry
Messe Husum & Congress and the World Wind Energy Association (WWEA) are now hosting the World Summit for Small Wind for the fifth time: On 20 and 21 March, 22 international speakers with be reporting on quality aspects, markets, technological developments and success stories from all over the world. The German Small Wind Turbine Association will also be holding a seminar on the planning and erection of small wind turbines, and the different ways to use them in combination with energy storage systems. At the Small Wind Visitors’ Forum on 22 March, private individuals also have the opportunity to find out about the engineering involved, how planning permission procedures work, and about various small wind turbine models and how they can be used.
