LAUDERDALE, FL — (Marketwire) — 02/09/12 — Tom Hudson, co-anchor and managing editor of “Nightly Business Report” on public television, America–s most-watched daily business news program, will serve as the emcee for the 2012 Florida Communities of Excellence Awards, Friday, March 30 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Conference Center in Hollywood, Florida. The salute to the achievements of the state–s outstanding community associations is the culmination of the annual Florida Communities of Excellence Conference & Awards Ceremony, a full-day event for association board members, property managers and property owners.
At the NBR, Hudson has covered international, national, and local business trends. In the current economic cycle, housing values, the outlook for interest rates, and the pace of the recovery have been key topics. Tom also writes a syndicated weekly column that appears in the Miami Herald and dozens of other papers nationwide. Prior to co-anchoring NBR, Tom reported and anchored market coverage for the groundbreaking web-based financial news service, WebFN. Earlier in his career he was the host and managing editor of the nationally-syndicated financial television program “First Business.”
