(), announced today the retirement of who will step down as Executive Chairman of SPI and leave SPI–s Board of Directors on March 30, 2012, completing a seamless transition which began when Quantum acquired two years ago.
His son, , one of Canada–s premier renewable energy executives and the founder of SPI in 2004, will continue to set strategies and oversee day-to-day operations of the company as President. Alan P. Niedzwiecki, President and CEO of Quantum, serves as Chairman of SPI.
