The nuclear industry is on the up and the number of new nuclear power plants is growing. Recognizing the need for independent third-party inspection companies, SGS will be intensifying its focus in offering a wide range of nuclear inspection services.
In light of the above, SGS announced Pascal Sutz as the new Vice President of Nuclear Services on November 1, 2010. Pascal Sutz will focus on the development of nuclear services within the SGS Group. He will provide leverage for SGS Nuclear Services by strengthening its global network and by supporting each country’s business manager in the development of SGS Nuclear Services. Moreover, he will analyze the potential of the nuclear market and monitor the market for new opportunities, technologies and trends.
Pascal’s strength lies in the depth of his experience and the unrivalled expertise he has gained from his years of working in the nuclear power industry. After spending seven years working as an engineer in the design and construction of nuclear plants at EDF, he joined SGS France in 1990. From 1990 to 2007 he has held several management positions within the Division of Nuclear Industry Services at SGS France (http://www.fr.sgs.com/fr/industrial_fr?lobId=51529), most notably as the General Director of the Alphatest subsidiary. In 2007, he joined the corporate team based in Geneva in order to support the deployment of company strategy in its global projects. Being responsible for many missions abroad, he confirmed his ability to lead projects on an international and multicultural level.
