Spring Cleaning-The Bedrooms of Your Home.

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM — (Marketwire) — 05/12/12 — As winter retreats, UK households will be switching to summer mode and with that comes sprucing up the house and garden. Spring cleaning is a fantastic way to rejuvenate a home after a long winter, and if a job is worth doing, it–s worth doing properly. Bedrooms are a good place to start, and this guide will give some tips and advice on what to look out for and where to start.

However, before starting the spring clean, examine the outside of the buildings to ensure there aren–t any that require a first. Check the general condition of the buildings, in case the window panes need varnishing or the windows need some repairs.

Once that–s been taken care of, the inside of the house is all that remains. Start in the bedrooms as it will give you somewhere comfortable and tidy after a good day–s spring cleaning.

Start with the surfaces

The best place to start cleaning a bedroom is its surfaces, like the floor, bedside tables and dressing tables. Remove all of the laundry, bedding and clear all the surfaces, because before any cleaning can be done, space must be made available.

Working from the outside in

Dusting down the room thoroughly is vital, start in the corners of the ceiling and work back towards the middle of the room. Any vents, doors, window panes, and cupboards will also need to be cleared of any winter debris, that way the bedroom becomes a blank canvas, giving the opportunity for a brand new look for the warmer months.

Curtains, bedding and blinds

Once done dusting, it is important to clean all of the bedroom–s curtains, blinds and bedding. So remove them and give them a good wash (in accordance to washing instructions of course) to ensure there is no lurking dust trapped within the fibres.

Those are the three key aspects to spring cleaning a bedroom. Once done, give each room a good vacuum, including the mattresses, and all should be well for the warmer months which lay ahead.
