The certificate, awarded under the so-called Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS), certifies all the eligibility conditions for sale in Great Britain as well as the high quality of WINAICO module production.
The certification was given by the British Approvals Board for Telecommunications (BABT) in collaboration with TÜV Süd [Technical Monitoring Association – South]. The British seal of quality is an internationally recognised and independent certificate awarded for particular product quality and safety. As part of the certification process, besides strict product tests the production facilities themselves were also inspected and certified. The MCS approval procedure includes a plant inspection to ensure that all production processes comply with safety and reliability standards as well as a thorough performance appraisal of the product.
Sascha Roßmann, director of the German branch of the company, explains: “In terms of the strengthening of our business in Europa the MCS certification takes us a major step forward. The British solar market offers great potential and in future we look forward to being able to supply British installers too with the excellent WINAICO modules”. State-of-the-art quality management, from incoming goods inspection via the complete value-added chain through to a 100% visual, micro-optic, mechanical and electrical pre-delivery inspection, continuously safeguard the premium quality of WINAICO products and thus offer a high degree of investment security. In addition to the MCS certification, WINAICO products are certified in accordance with IEC 61215 and EN 61730.
