PHOENIX, AZ — (Marketwired) — 09/05/13 — WindPower Innovations, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: WPNV) announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary WindPower Solutions, Inc., has expanded its renewable product offerings to include solar energy products through a strategic partnership with Clean Energy Systems, LLC.
Under the terms of the strategic partnership, WindPower and Clean Energy Systems will be able to expand their products and markets with the ability to cross sell each others products. The Parties will share revenue and earnings while each party will install and warranty the products to each other and the end user.
“This is the next step in our business plan to provide renewable energy solutions where wind power is unusable or where the tax incentives associated with solar energy is more favorable to certain businesses or locales than wind power or wind power alone,” stated John Myers, CEO of both WindPower Solutions, Inc. and the Company.
Nick Palumbo, WindPower–s Director of Sales and marketing who was instrumental in negotiating this strategic partnership, had this to say, “My prior working knowledge and experience with Clean Energy Systems and their wide knowledge of the tax incentives associated with renewable energy was the perfect solution to immediately bring solar energy solutions to our customers.”
“What attracted me to WindPower was the opportunity to provide both solar and wind power to the same customers, utilizing the superior tax advantages inherit in solar power to make the overall project economically feasible while providing greater generating capacity from the same facility,” commented Charles Kirkland, CEO of Clean Energy Systems, LLC.
Due to this strategic partnership the Company expects to begin generating substantial revenue in its next fiscal quarter beginning October 1, 2013. With this new found revenue plus the revenue generated from its Cameo Pools subsidiary the Company has no intention of further utilizing the Excelerate facility at anytime in the foreseeable future.
Operating out of Scottsdale Arizona, Clean Energy Systems (CES) is a hybrid solar company with a very different business model. CES has never accepted institutional financing, does not rely on federal grants, and has never required a credit check from their customers. CES currently owns over $10,000,000 in solar equipment assets, free and clear of any liens or encumbrances. Charles Kirkland launched the company in early 2009 with a passion for renewable energy, an extensive legal background, and over 20 years experience in various types of real estate ventures. In addition to selling and/or installing solar systems using the industry standard model CES provides long term lease options to the commercial and residential markets, and has rapidly expanded to become one of the fastest growing, independently owned solar leasing companies in the United States. With almost 200 completed projects throughout the country, CES has developed partnerships with both tax equity investors and innovative commercial developers, creating a symbiotic relationship between two very different industries. Clean Energy Systems will rent commercial rooftops by the square foot, then improves the space with state of the art, non-invasive solar equipment. The Clean Energy Systems model is completely scalable. For more information visit our website at
